Female, minority-run organization that offers FREE COVID-19 contact-less antigen tests to under-served communities.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PCR AND ANTIGEN TEST?
PCR tests and antigen tests are both diagnostic tests that can be used to determine whether you currently have an active coronavirus infection. Serology tests (think: finger prick) looks for antibodies in the blood to determine if you've been infected in the past.
CovidMD is an initiative of the Shared Harvest Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)3 and the Shared Harvest Fund social enterprise. The myCovidMD® portal is designed to meet the growing need for testing and to give every community a chance to be protected. The program offers Pop-Up community-based triaging, testing and wrap-around services and will match residents with critical Crisis Buddies to be able to lean on for social and mental health support amidst the rapidly scaling COVID-19 global pandemic.
myCovidMD® and myCovid19.live aims to deliver 10,000 rapid tests to older adults, under-resourced and houseless individuals, allowing them to connect with Community Health Partners (CHP), advocates and trusted organizations for advice without risking exposure to the coronavirus. We are addressing health inequities for communities of color by meeting residents where they are, in their communities and connecting with other medical and non-medical efforts on the ground.
myCovidMD® safely connects residents to resources in real-time, by real people. We help under-resourced communities get free testing and access to telehealth services during the Coronavirus Public Health crisis.
Please join us for free, safe, and quick testing for COVID-19 at one of our pop-up sites.
